The fragrance born from the creative collaboration with fashion designer Arturo Obegero is the embodiment of the world of imagination of a young Spanish creator working in Paris. The elegant perfume intentionally blends feminine and masculine olfactory notes and is equally extroverted as it is introverted. The scent notably opens with geranium and pink pepper, transitioning immediately to the opulent scent of rose. The initial floral chords symbolizing lively society transition into meditative balsamic tones of labdanum, olibanum, and myrrh, evoking a sense of solitude in a church. The full and warming composition is underscored by cedar and amber. AZABACHE CHAPTER 2, the second, more sophisticated version of the perfume introduced in 2021, maintains the original idea but approaches it with a new, sophisticated perspective.

I adore the progression on this one! It starts off fairly muted, then the pepper kicks in, and finally it tapers off into this rose/wood/resin landscape. Wearing it makes me imagine walking through a castle courtyard late at night! There’s definitely incense in there, but it feels more like a supporting character than the main theme.
